This month we are going for a slightly longer hike, approximately 4 miles at Santiago Oaks Regional Park. Let’s make sure we keep working on that leg strength and endurance when you’re in here so your monthly hikes get easier and more enjoyable! You can’t beat it, it’s a free event and it’s fun!

Last month we did a 3 mile loop at Peter’s Canyon that had a few steep hills to climb and one hill to descend that proved to be more challenging than I originally thought. However, everyone did great and we survived, so I challenge everyone to come out again this month. We will take is slow and steady and take lots of breaks to enjoy the scenery. Bring a friend or a couple of friends and see a hidden part of Orange County while you get in some exercise. This trail at Santiago Oaks is a partial loop so we can decide as a group when to turn around since you come back the same way you came in. I haven’t been out there this spring yet, but apparently there are great wildflowers in bloom!
