As many of you know Kim and I just returned from the most amazing fitness conference, IDEA World Fitness Convention and Expo in Los Angeles. Words cannot describe the energy, inspiration, and knowledge that the last 4 days and given us. Each year we leave absolutely overwhelmed with information, exhausted, and sore, however all that is dulled by the incredible energy, education, hope and thankfulness that we feel. It is such an honor and privilege to serve you on your fitness journey! This yearly conference only reminds us that there is always more to learn and ways to improve; with ourselves (mentally and physically), our small group classes, private sessions, the studio, and life in general. It’s more than great workouts, but an amazing group of educated fitness professionals gathering to collaborate and educate each other so that we can each take that knowledge back to our community. We feel that it is our obligation, not only to attend, but to educate you so that you may use these tools to continuously improve on your own life’s journey.

Mindset matters! So many times we focus on the negative rather than the positive, what we want instead of what we already have. PERSPECTIVE! It’s huge (and yes deserves all caps). Life is a journey and I like to think that journey is about creating yourself, not finding yourself. You can apply this to your relationships, work, daily routines, and especially your health, fitness and nutrition. We are inundated with so much information on a daily basis about how we should look, feel, and be, yet somehow we are all still struggling to get to where we want to be. I challenge you to take a step back, reassess what it is you from your body: Is it to feel good? Have optimum fitness? Do your daily routine with ease? Be able to travel and see new places? It may be a few of these, whatever it is, write it down, share it with us. Priorities change constantly and our goal is to guide and challenge you to get where you want to be. It should be positive, be kind to yourself, and know that everyone goes through their own up’s and down’s, that’s life! You either choose to embrace it, learn from it and grow or face staying where you’re at.

With all this being said, I have my own changes that I will be working on for myself and for the studio. Kim and I have already shared so much information that we’ve learned and will slowly start to implement it into your workouts. We ask that you please be patient and open to change, we truly want to bring you the absolute best that we have to offer! Expect more communication via emails, facebook, pinterest, instagram, twitter and this blog. We have so much to share with you and hope that it brings value to your life, so make sure to check whichever social media outlet you use and be prepared to learn and grow with us!!
