Certified Pilates Instructor
While I have a master's degree in Data Analytics, I found myself feeling stressed and disconnected in my full-time corporate job. I discovered Pilates after a friend invited me to a mat class and quickly fell in love with the method and how it made me feel both physically and mentally. I first earned my mat certification, but wanted a deeper understanding of Pilates, which led me to enroll in an extraordinary 1.5-year comprehensive program taught by instructors from the lineage of Joseph Pilates, Ron Fletcher, and BASI Pilates. Along the way, I also started my own grip sock business from home and began hosting mat Pilates events in Newport Beach.
Outside of Pilates, I work full time as a kitchen and bath designer and spend winter snowboarding whenever I can – usually falling and recovering the rest of the year. Because of that, I love incorporating balance and stability work into my classes to support fall prevention and everyday movement. My grandma and mother-in-law both suffer from osteoporosis, so I've spent a lot of time practicing with older adults and encouraging clients to prioritize long-term health through movement and proper nutrition. When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me at the beach or dog park with my Golden Retriever, Longhaired Dachshund, and Black Lab.
